Fortunate Families Detroit Friends and Supporters,
Our next meeting will be Sunday, May 31st. at 12:00pm, via Zoom Conferencing.
If you would like to join us please send me an email message @ and I will send a link to your email for the meeting. When it is time for the meeting, just click on the link and it will direct you to download Zoom and walk you through the steps to join the meeting. Video and phone access are both available. There will be a phone number for those who want to join by phone.
At this meeting we will share plans for a renewed Fortunate Families Detroit ministry after our dismissal from the Archdiocese of Detroit. We will offer an opportunity for small group sharing of individual reaction to the actions of the AOD and of thoughts on what our members need to continue to be a part of this ministry. Our leadership team will present specific action plans indicating that we will no longer affiliate ourselves with the institutional Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Detroit. Instead, we will act independently and separately to promote and celebrate God’s acceptance of all our kin in all our variations, just as we are created.

I am grateful that we are able to keep our connections going especially during this challenging time for our country and our Fortunate Families family.
Praying for all of you and for our LGBT sisters and brothers in Dignity!
Peace and Blessings.

MOTOR CITY PRIDE 2020
You are invited to participate in Motor City Pride's Virtual Pride Event. This experience is not a replacement for the postponed 2020 Motor City Pride festival but instead celebrates the historic significance of June as LGBTQ Pride Month. Designed to spotlight the LGBTQ community as plans for a physical festival continue to evolve, the event will feature a wide variety of virtual experiences. During the month of June, the Motor City Pride website will be transformed into an immersive experience featuring rich content from local artists, entertainers and vendors, along with resources and features from community-based groups. The centerpiece of the virtual price event will be the two hour Celebration of Pride live broadcast on June 6th from 3:00pm - 5:00pm highlighting the vibrancy of our community.
The Virtual Pride event site will go live on June 1st at motorcitypride.org, and the Celebration of Pride Live Broadcast happens on June 6th from 3:00pm -5:00pm nad will also be posted for viewing after the event.
Motor City Pride's underlining goal is to support each other. We wish everyone well during this uncertain time and look forward to your participation in our virtual event and seeing everyone at our next festival and parade.
